Flexible Love Chair Design
This amazing ‘flexible love’ folding chair can be stretched to seat as many as sixteen individuals; once compacted, the chair seats one. Designed by Chishen Chiu who stumbled upon a small factory producing ‘honeycombed’ sheets of recycled paper in suburban Taipei one day.
Intrigued by the use of the honeycomb structure to create cardboard palettes that were being used to replace traditional wooden palettes, he believed the material could be applied to create any rigid structure. Within days, the idea for FlexibleLove had been sketched out and turned into a working model. You can also buy a flexilove mini for only $29,97.
