Baroda House Restoration Project By Rios Clementi Hale Studios

This Baroda House was originally designed by A. Quincy Jones in 1953 for the actor gary cooper. Restoration and minor renovations were done in order to restore the original architectural plan, and new private offices for the house were added. The client commisioned Rios Clementi Hale Studios to design range of custom furnishings, including carpets, a large dining table, coffe and side tables. The design for the furniture was inspired by the subtle elegance and open plan of the existing house.

The client also purchased two adjoining lots spanning a ravine, and asked Rios Clementi Hale to unify the properties with a landscape master plan and design. The original Garret Eckbo-designed modern landscape was restored and enhanced with new entry features, while the additional properties were given a more pastoral treatment.
