September 21, 2009 Filed Under: Concrete House

Public Architects have designed Baltazar Residence, a small concrete house design located in La Jolla, California. The house was designed for a growing family and takes advantage of the beautiful Pacific Ocean views through glass-enclosed upper level.

Supporting the glass walls is a concrete base; a simple support punctuated by minimal details apart from some windows. Starting from the second store this small concrete home design has a steel frame with a glass window walls that offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to the materials used inside and outside house its design gets a modern look without losing in comfort. This small house was named Best New House of the Year by San Diego Home & Gardens Magazine February 2008.
