Balanced on the spine of a rocky ridge, the linear house threads through a grove of arbutus. As you move through the house, the exposed rafters gradually invert into a butterfly roof opening to bring light and views into the main social areas.

Located in the Taliesen area of Highland Park, Portland, This house has been updated in keeping with the original design while providing today’s modern ammenities. New cork floors over the in slab radiant heat provide a warm and quiet ambience. There is also a heat pump for cooling and for a quick burst of heating.
